Was 2023 even real?
2024, plz send help!

Hey gang, it’s Mike. I made it to the end of the year (fully scathed) & somehow managed to do some cool things along the way. Suz put together highlights for me!

Commercial Music & Foley (click to view)

Topo Chico

Lipton

Maker's Mark

We’re excited to have developed a close working relationship with Cake-Factory, a production company headed by award-winning director Martin Wonnacott. Mike provided compositions and foley for brands such as Topo-Chico, Maker’s Mark and Lipton Tea.

Film Scored by Mike Abiuso & Chris Bordeaux

“Catherine and Michael” directed by Kathy Fusco, starring Molly Ringwald & scored by Michael Abiuso & Chris Bordeaux went on to win several awards including Best Comedy Short at the New York Indie Shorts and New Hampshire Film festivals. See more films scored by the duo HERE

Music for Pepsi Ad

Pepsi had Mike compose the music for their latest global ad campaign. He blends organic instrumentation of guitar and percussion with synths and subtle foley for a slick and modern production. Mike also mixed and mastered the track for commercial use. Listen HERE

Production in Croatian Music Fesitval

Mike’s production, mixing & mastering of Tommi Mischel’s original song “Za Tebe” took the BTCM team to a three-day music festival in Sibenik where Tommi performed live with a full orchestra to a sold-out audience. Sincere thank you to Tommi & Ella for making us feel at home. We can’t wait until the next festival!

Recording Studios in Nashville

The BTCM team took an excursion to Music City to hit recording studios, meet clients, attend showcases, and have meetings with both artists and music industry professionals who are afraid of the Big Apple. Thank you to our entertainment lawyer Alex Ploegsma for dragging us down!

Songwriting for TV Series

KPA Talent Agency president & TV show producer, Karen Riposo shot an episode of the reality TV series Fleur on the Move at BTCM where Mike Abiuso, Lil Eddie and Fleur co-wrote the song “Footwork”. Mike mixed & mastered the song while Suzanne did the admin & marketing for it.

Songwriting for Movie Soundtrack

Artist/producer Frank Bell & Mike co-wrote the track “Let’s Go (I’m Ready)” with pop artist, Carly Pearl for the music supervisor of Universal Picture‘s feature-film, “The List“. Suzanne promoted the entire movie soundtrack with a social media & publicity campaign.

Publicity for Netflix Series, “Jewish Matchmaking”

Suzanne worked with reality TV star, Stuart Chaseman to gain press and publicity for his appearance on the Netflix show, “Jewish Matchmaking”. She publicized the release of his full album and is helping launch his own talk show. Press hits included Insider News and The Daily Herald.

Mondo NYC Music Festival

BTCM artist Emmrose performed at Mondo NYC music festival. She released “Electric Nights” which was placed on the Spotify Editorial playlist Fresh Finds Indie. She also released the full-length album, ‘Thorns’ which was co-written, produced, mixed, & mastered by Mike Abiuso. Three singles were also co-written & produced by Richard Orofino.

Album release show at Club Iridium

Amanda Brecker released two singles and her album “Dreams”. She also dropped her first music video called “Man of My Dreams”. Mike and Suzanne attended her record release show at the NYC club Iridium where none other than her dad, jazz trumpet icon Randy Brecker, joined her onstage.

Solo and sync artist

Rehya Stevens released the singles “Love Party” (reviewed by Earmilk), “Early Winter”, and “Be My Baby By Christmas Night”. Rehya also released the full album ‘Santa’s Takin’ Over the Town’, a 21-song deluxe album for personal enjoyment & sync licensing. Rehya has 40+ syncs in tv & film.

Rowan Brind aka Row Dawg aka RD
Music Producer // On the Fly Records

ROWAN BRIND: Rowan has been producing, engineering, mixing & mastering at Behind the Curtains Media with artists including Jeremy Fury, Bliss Street, World of Igor, Arthur Darien, Emily Richardson and more. He also launched On The Fly Records after buying the Presto 6N, a legendary record lathe from the 1940’s. On the Fly is a small short-run label, providing artists with an inexpensive method of getting their music onto vinyl. We’re grateful to have Rowan and honored to be partnered with On the Fly Records!
