Lyric video premiered on Substream Magazine; off upcoming compilation album ‘Vivid Echoes’ out March 23
NEW YORK, NY | MARCH 2, 2018 – Brooklyn hip-hop, EDM, R&B, and soul fusion artist Yarley G is back – and better than ever, with his upcoming compilation album Vivid Echoes. The lead single “Forget You” drops today, as an emotive R&B / soul-pop track, featuring vocals by IMAN. Substream Magazine, who premiered the track, described it as a “somber, yet vibrant experience in moving beyond heartache” and a “hypnotic blend of serenity.”“‘Forget You’ originally started without anything but a piano sample which I recorded from a video with my iPhone from a friend’s house,” described Yarley G. “She had the grand looking all sexy in her living room, so you know a music head like me can’t help it but get pulled into it. I posted the video on Instagram and got some pretty good feedback on it. Based on the feedback, I made the track longer and arranged it to a full song. The sounds I went for was very space-y thinking about the stars and just going away in my spaceship to escape. I wanted the bass to be different, so I found a very weird sound and took the high ends off to not make it irritating, and boosted the lows a bit and it gave me the hook I needed for the track.”
Mutual fans of each others work, Yarley and IMAN had the opportunity to work together last year, when she was visiting NYC. “[Yarley G] sent me a few tracks to write to and one of them ended up being ‘Forget You,'” shared IMAN. “It was so cool to finally meet him and show him what I’d written. Recording with him was a vibe and I look forward to working on more with him.” Yarley G reflected on his side of the experience, “Working with IMAN was really organic and professional; she’s an artist that’s precise on what she wants.”
“Forget You” comes as the lead single off Yarley G’s upcoming compilation albumVivid Echoes. Featuring a range of sounds from hip-hop, EDM, electronic, to R&B and soul influences, the album includes a number of guest artists including Skyzoo, D’Wayne Reade, Angel Demone, LJ Musique, Adrianna, Zig Short, Cool Co. and Al-Karim. The track “Two Divine Mimosas,” featuring Zig Short, was released earlier this year as an upbeat and energizing EDM/house single, with “a touch of smooth jazz”. Wildly different from “Forget You,” the two tracks display the wide range that Yarley G’s talents stretch, while paired in an unbeatable album compilation. Vivid Echoes is scheduled for release on March 23, 2018. Select samples and the entire album can be pre-ordered on iTunes or Bandcamp now; view a full track listing below.

ABOUT YARLEY G
“There’s an infinite, creative universe inside each of us you can reach only by overcoming struggle; I call it ‘The Z-Space.’” – Yarley Geffrard, (AKA Yarley G)
Brooklyn-based composer, instrumentalist, computer scientist, and musical producer Yarley Geffrard, has discovered that inside each of us exists an unlimited potential. A place he called, ‘The Z-Space’. Yarley always reverberates with hip-hop, EDM, R&B, and soul.
Yarley G’s compositions have landed on the likes of MTV, FOX, and other television networks. His musical influences ranged from Motown and Brandy, and from Pop to Backstreet Boyz.
Yarley was raised by his mother and grandmother in Haiti, while his father worked hard until they could eventually move to the U.S.A. Yarley, later on, went to Brooklyn Technical High School where he excelled greatly both in academics and music.
By late 2008, Yarley G was actively working as ASCAP affiliated composer and publisher. He enrolled in the Institute of Audio Research in New York City in 2010 and graduated with a 4.0 GPA and a First Place Award for Best Mix and Masters. Yarley also received a BA in Computer Science with User Experience and Interface Design from Hunter College.
Yarley took a giant step a few years ago; he created his own platform Yarley G Music, with a team of artists and songwriters. As a result of this, he is in partnership with companies in the U.S., the U.K., Asia and Australia to provide music to license globally. At the moment, Yarley and his band are collaborating with D’Wayne Reade, Lord Alkarim, IMAN and the martial artist, extreme sports pro, and hip-hop artist Zig Short in support of their latest single, “Two Divine Mimosas.”
Fans should watch out later in 2018 as Yarley G Music plans the release of his compilation, a full-length LP, Vivid Echoes, which will showcase his eclectic mix of compositions over the years. Yarley always integrates technology, science, and music – “I make it all a puzzle, one put together a single piece at a time,” he explains. His mantra is: “Divide and conquer to create something no one else has.”
Gifted with an authentic British edge and distinctive, soulful vocals, IMAN has also been known to direct and co – edit her own music videos earning her recognition among fans and critics alike. An artist that began her music career writing for major international acts under labels such as Sony BMG, Polydor, Warner Music and Virgin EMI, IMAN has established herself in the industry as both a talented vocalist, and a prolific songwriter.
