Weekly Spotify playlists from

Behind The Curtains Media!

With over 140 million users, Spotify has become one of the top digital music streaming services in the world, creating an easy and convenient way to consume music. The amount of content on Spotify can be a bit overwhelming, though; with so much music available (over 30 million songs!), it’s sometimes difficult to discover and appreciate new music from lesser-known artists.

We’re hoping to make that a little easier for all you music lovers out there which is why we’re introducing our new playlist, “BTCM’s Weekly Favorites.” As people in the industry and music lovers ourselves, we wanted to create a playlist that highlights some of our favorite artists, updated each week with our latest finds.

Read about a few of our featured artists on this week’s playlist below, and be sure to follow it on Spotify to stay up to date on the newest additions!

Fever Blush – “Remember”

Fever Blush is a female-fronted indie rock band from Nashville, TN. “Remember” is the first track on a pair of singles the band released this past November, entitled “Remember, Forget.” Fever Blush blends punk and dream pop to create a unique sound of their own, perfect for fans of Bleached and Alvvays.

The Sonic Dawn – “On the Shore”
“On the Shore” is a track off The Sonic Dawn’s latest album, Into the Long Night. Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, this three piece offers a modern take on 1960’s psych rock. For fans of Jefferson Airplane, Psychic Ills, and Black Lips.

Pleasure Systems – “Crumbs”
Pleasure Systems is the solo project of Clarke Sondermann of the Washboard Abs (Olympia, WA). The track “Crumbs” is the lead single from his debut album, Antumbra Pull, which was released this past October. Sondermann mixes downtempo beats with melancholy vocals, creating an atmosphere that is relaxing and dreamlike. For fans of Air, M83, and Small Black.

The Ghost Wolves – “Triple Full Moon”
“Triple Full Moon” is off Austin, TX-based The Ghost Wolves’ second full-length album, Texa$ Platinum.  What starts off as a quiet, folk-pop song quickly escalates into a heavy psych jam. For fans of Hasil Adkins, The Ramones, and Shannon and the Clams.

The Waives – “What Happened Last Night?”
The Waives are a new wave band from Hull, England, taking influence from bands like the Libertines and the Kooks. Their latest single, “What Happened Last Night?”, was released in April 2017 by Warren Records.
