VICTORIAN HALLS announce “All My Friends Are Dead Tour”

Victorian Halls Behind The Curtains Media

(For Fans Of: Muse, MGMT, Death From Above, Brand New)

CHICAGO, IL // August 26th, 2016 : The dark synth-pop melodies and crazy antics of Victorian Halls have broken the walls of Chicago, and will be nationally unleashed for the public to enjoy (with caution) as they gear up for their upcoming “All My Friends Are Dead Tour”. The trio will be partnering with friends Pseudo Future to further enhance the chaos. The tour is a follow up to Victorian Halls’ recent midwest run in June, and will continue to support  their latest Victory Records release, “Hyperalgesia“.

Frontman Sean Lenart states, “We are excited for this west coast run, and [are] looking forward to playing our latest record. Lots of new songs and players, in the mix.  Should be a raucous good time.”

Audiences are sure to experience the same, if not, heightened live theatrics: More sweat, more blood, more of what fans have come to love and expect from Victorian Halls.

Bio:
Headed by visionary and lead vocalist/guitarist Sean Lenart, Victorian Halls madewaves with their debut release Charlatan.  Critics took to Charlatan and the bands abstract approach, and quickly landed the band international recognition.  The new album, Hyperalgesia, contains all the hooks and harmonies affiliated with Victorian Halls, but with a more authentic approach.

Extended Bio:

The writing process for album number two can be difficult for any band to uphold the chemistry of their first release. On their second offering, Hyperalgesia, VICTORIAN HALLS have gone leaps and bounds beyond their debut and created an alluring album that is part dance, part pop, part rock and 100% irresistible.

The Chicago trio, headed by vocalist/guitarist/pianist Sean Lenart, bassist Jordan Dismuke and Mike Tomala on drums, made waves with their Victory Records debut Charlatan in 2011, exhibiting their incendiary approach of experimental beats. That grand theatrical backdrop remains with 2015’s Hyperalgesia.

This time around, VICTORIAN HALLS turned up the heat with abstract melodies and hooks that weave seamlessly with smart pop lyrics, and sourced different experiences to create an album that cascades gleams of pop shrapnel and brisk elegance.

In keeping their sound one-of-a-kind, Lenart handled production duties himself with the assistance of Joe Chiccarelli (Frank Zappa, Beck, U2, My Morning Jacket) and Ken Sluiter (Weezer, OK Go) behind the mixing board. Lenart explains “Hyperalgesia is more or less a statement about what we were going through while working on the record. It always seems worse; it always feels heavier. The last thing we wanted to do was to make something contrived. We were not worried about the reception, and I think that allowed us to create something authentic”.

Hyperalgesia demonstrates a matured take on their lyrically and sonically overt tracks, a collection of 11-tracks that expands the bounds of indie-pop, unhinged synth-rock, and propulsive, melodic indie-rock. Less abrasive with far more staying power, Hyperalgesia will surprise you with every track.

VICTORIAN HALLS Release Music Video for “Scarlets”

& Announce Tour Dates Sponsored by Digital Tour Bus

Victorian Halls Behind The Curtains Media

CHICAGO, IL // June 1, 2016 : Victory Records’ finest, Victorian Halls, have teamed up with New Noise Magazine to premiere their latest video for single “Scarlets” [LINK] Though filled with live footage and extra bits of offstage antics, singer/guitarist Sean Lenart, explains the true meaning: “The song is about drowning. I have an irrational fear — almost dreamlike — of being underwater and not being able to reach the the sparkling, sheeted surface. Unfortunately, there’s always someone with me.”

“Scarlets” is the third single from Hyperalgesia, following the critical successes of “Tonight Only the Dead” and “Come In with the Storm.” Lenart continues, “This song has tremendous energy when we play it live, and we thought it only made sense to pair it with a montage-styled video that feature at least one band member in their underoos.” The music video was directed and edited by Steven Fadellin.

Renowned for sweat-filled dance moves tangled in sticky synth melodies and topped with groundbreaking vocal ranges, Victorian Halls gear up to embark on a Midwest tour. The boys have partnered with sponsor, Digital Tour Bus to announce the “I Was Born In The Midwest, I’ll Die In The Midwest” tour which include special guests Between California and Summer. Be sure to catch the gritty rock renegades and witness the live theatrics at the dates below.
