Punk rock stadium anthem simultaneously pokes fun and fires up rivalry; off upcoming album ‘Humdinger’ – Premiered by New Noise Magazine
NEW YORK, NY | March 9, 2018 – Get ready to bring on the noise and the pain while cheering for your favorite team with The Tracys punk-rock anthem “Your Team Sucks“! A raucous single, it’ll have you cheering, chanting, and revelling in the glory; it premiered earlier this week on New Noise Magazine.
The band describes the single as a ‘stadium anthem for our time’ simultaneously poking fun at sports culture and the rabid, brawling fandom reveling in its idiotic and savage glory. It’s a blistering reflection of our culture, society and the state of today’s world. As the band says, “No one can agree on anything, everyone’s picking sides, and maybe the only thing we have in common is “if your team’s not my team…your team sucks!”” The single was written with John Bendik (Savaged Amused, Cash Registers), and guest features trombonist Flying Jay Armant (Fishbone).
The video brings the track to a entire other level of floor-rattling intensity, encouraging you to crank the volume and cheer along, featuring a blooper reel of sports fails, fights, and brazen glory. The band said, “The video is a kind of blooper reel of sports suckage from around the world and an homage to rabid, idiotic and wonderful fandom. Hey Nike, let’s talk!”
“Your Team Sucks” is the second single/music video off The Tracys upcoming album, Humdinger scheduled for release March 23, 2018. Humdinger can be pre-ordered on iTunes now. “Your Team Sucks” is available for stream and purchase on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, and all major digital retailers, along with the band’s first single and video for “People Scare Me”. New Yorkers can join The Tracys for their record release show at Hank’s Saloon in Brooklyn on March 23, with Live Ones, Cash Register, and The Measurements.

About The Tracys:
From the rancid shores of Brooklyn’s Gowanus canal rose a quartet of punk rockers called The Tracys. Raised on 80’s punk with a side of maple syrup, Alberta native Dave Klym (The Mike Plume Band, The Populars, Itch) is the driving force behind the band’s monster hooks and blazing solos. On rhythm guitar, John Payne (Puppetbox) has been known to contribute harmonies as silky as his well-coiffed hair. Larry Mancini holds down the fort on the bass guitar with a little bit of whimsy, and a belly full of pizza. Anchoring this operation is drummer Matt Ernst, whose thunderous beats form the foundation for the group’s aggressive style.
With infectious melodies and gallows humor, The Tracys’ brand of pop punk holds true to the sensibilities of old-school west coast punk. With the release of their third record, Humdinger, The Tracys continue to hone their signature sound, taking aim at what ails us with a double barreled blast of music and mayhem.
