NEW YORK, NY – July 15, 2016 – Summer may have peaked, but the reign of singer/songwriter, Taylor Tucker, has just begun, as the release of her new EP, The Leather Shoes EP, surfaces today with a one-two punch. These five tracks, packed with fervor, mettle, and brutal honesty, spin the listener in a whirlwind of emotions and place them back into the world with a vulnerable enlightenment.
With the help of producer, Michael Abiuso, and guest musician, Alex Nauth, Tucker crafted 20 solid gold minutes of charming, unforgettable music and biting, witty lyrics, akin to the likes of Sara Bareilles, Lily Allen, and Adele. From the EP’s opener, “Enough to Me,” an empathetic, string-driven ode to the insecure, through the upbeat, tongue-in-cheek title track, “Leather Shoes,” to the simple motivational message of “Take It Easy,” The Leather Shoes EP has the pop anthem for everyone to scream at the top of their lungs.
Leather Shoes was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Michael Abiuso at SwitchBitch Studios in Park Slope, New York, and is available NOW on iTunes, Bandcamp, and various outlets everywhere!

Following the release of the saucy lead single “Leather Shoes,” Taylor is eager to share a softer side to her songwriting. Inspired by witnessing the constant unrelenting pressure to “fit in,” Taylor created a captivating tune with only her ukulele and raw emotion. The profound track, titled “Enough To Me,” is as sincere as sincere gets. It comes from a place of loving and understanding, and Taylor’s vocal melodies are undeniably enchanting. “I wrote ‘Enough To Me’ on my ukulele for one of my sisters. It was the first completed song I’ve ever written. In the middle of writing the song, my inspiration expanded and shifted towards anyone in this world who has ever felt insecure and uncomfortable in their own skin. I want to let everyone know that they are enough and will always be enough,” explains Taylor. “The media has painted a picture of what happiness is supposed to be and how you can “achieve” happiness with the way you look and how you live. In order to do this, you must lose weight or gain muscle, fit into a specific size of pants, buy all the latest beauty brands and technology….and only THEN will you be happy. Give me a break. I believe you can find happiness within yourself, because once you find happiness within yourself, you don’t need all the other stuff in your life. You are already enough in every way possible.”

TAYLOR TUCKER Unveils Sassy Debut Single “Leather Shoes”

NEW YORK, NY – June 15, 2016 – Just in time for the boldness of summer, Taylor Tucker is making her saucy debut. This up-and-coming artist is carving her place in the music world with an ear-catching soulful edge accompanied by witty lyricism inspired by the likes of Lily Allen and Sara Bareilles. Taylor is set to release her first EP next month, and listeners can get a feel for what’s to come with the lead single and title-track, “Leather Shoes.”
Stemming from a comical exchange with a fellow who didn’t seem to understand what “not interested” means, Taylor combined snark, soul, and music savvy to create this vivacious tune. The track, which features the stylings of Alex Nauth (Foxy Shazam, The Skulx) on the horns, was recorded, mixed, and mastered at SwitchBitch Studios in Park Slope along with the rest of The Leather Shoes EP. As a result, this lively jam serves as the perfect introduction to both the project and Taylor Tucker herself.
The inspiration for ‘Leather Shoes’ came when I was at a bar in Manhattan – a place where the suits, ties, and leather shoes strut through by the dozen. A guy approached me at a bar with some funky white leather shoes and stories to tell for days. His home run move was when he tried to impress me with how wealthy he was (total turn on), notes Taylor. But what really tipped me over the edge was when he asked the bartender to “get this little lady a drink of Goose on the rocks”. Um, hi, I’m not little. And I don’t want a drink.
