Los Angeles | June 30, 2023: Award-winning independent artist Rehya Stevens releases the high-energy Dance/EDM single titled “Love Party” to all streaming platforms on Friday, June 30. In celebration of Pride month and Juneteenth, Stevens teamed up with two-time Emmy Award-winning “South Park” composer Jamie Dunlap to co-write and produce her first non-seasonal release in over five years.
Having garnered over 40 sync licenses to date, a #2 Billboard holiday single, and an HMMA award for ‘Best in Holiday,’ Stevens is perhaps best known for her all-original Christmas catalog – which grows every year. Though the energy and lyrical content of “Love Party” may seem like a departure, Stevens extends her celebratory viewpoint on this new single with a message of inclusivity, and that love is the only way forward.
“I grew up in a very small town in Northern California that is still quite sheltered to this day. My Dad is a Ukrainian immigrant – born into a displaced persons camp in Germany after the Cold War. By no means was I born with a silver spoon in my mouth – and I KNOW what it is to work your butt off just to survive – so I’ve always held a progressive worldview. I spent years carving a career path for myself in Los Angeles – struggling to pay the bills, struggling with issues now known as the #metoo movement – while witnessing the struggles of my colleagues with racial profiling, poverty, nepotism, sexism, and all kinds of discrimination throughout their journeys. Embracing the challenge of the whole mess – and falling in love with the kaleidoscope of the people I’ve been blessed to know through my work experience inspired this song. I believe that by getting back up over and over again after every hard knock- you can’t help but become an undeniable force. Genre-wise, for me – there’s nothing quite like the dance floor to let your spirit shine. Life is like a dance floor. This is your moment! Your chance to play the hand you’ve been dealt, and hopefully play it well. “Love Party” is much deeper to me than just being a summer ‘bop.’ It’s about releasing frustration and seeing yourself as a badass who is surviving and thriving within a dysfunctional system – and hopefully transforming it. That’s an empowering way to see yourself in the world.”

“Love Party” will be featured in the Lifetime Movie “Secrets of a Celebrity Nanny” (directed by Lance Robbins and Dylan Vox), starring actress Yolanthe Cabau, coming soon. The single will be available on all digital music platforms on Friday, June 30th, 2023.
