“Manufactured Dream” is the 2nd single and Title Track from NADIA KAZMI’s upcoming full-length LP release coming 2023. The dreamy choruses are in stark contrast to the funky bass line and rhythmic Bowie-esque verses. The verses paint a picture of a woman and a man in our modern era. They speak of shallow lives in the instant world of social media and Ponzi schemes. A world of vanity, narcissism, and a love for material things at the cost of morality and depth. That deluded world sets the pillowy stage of false reality: the manufactured dream. Nadia wanted to create a dreamy chorus that made the listener feel like they were floating in a magical world. The focus was to create a sonic world that draws the listener in, where listeners can get lost in the sonic scape even if they’re not listening to the message on the first listen.
