A child of an opera singer and an actress, Lesley grew up singing, writing, and performing. She released her debut single, “Desire,” in 2013, and her first EP “Good Like This,” recorded in Brooklyn’s Mission Sound, is streaming now.
She’s been playing at top New York City singer-songwriter venues to audiences that note her compelling and nuanced lyrics, along with her strong, emotive voice and rich harmonies. Her honest and melodic songs (with influences ranging from Motown to Prince to Carole King) were described, not at all inaccurately, by one fan as, “depressing yet uplifting.”

Bad Galaxy is the moniker of Brooklyn based musician Alexis Pastuhov. With two full-length albums and two EP’s already released under his own name, Pastuhov started Bad Galaxy in early 2017 to serve as a vehicle for a collection of songs that didn’t seem to fit comfortably alongside previous offerings.
His first full-length in over four years, the songs on the self-titled, Bad Galaxy album are certainly Pastuhov’s most ambitious to date. Mixing electronic elements, samples, and retro synth tones with organic instrumentation, the arrangements are grander and the textures more varied. Stylistically the album takes many shapes; weaving from folk to grunge to experimental, with every song holding something new to discover upon each listen. Similar to past material the mood of the album is dark, and brutally self-aware, and Pastuhov’s words and dynamic voice are as sharp and poignant as ever.
These twelve songs marks the start of a shift in identity. For some, assuming a new name provides separation, protection, and artistic freedom. For others it is just another way to stand out and define oneself in a world that has seen and heard it all. For Pastuhov, both of these things ring true, but at the root of it there is also a basic desire for reinvention and self-discovery. An instinct to delve deeper and to explore creativity in new ways.

Genevieve Faivre is the lead singer and songwriter of LadyChild. She grew up just outside of New York City in Brewster, NY where she first began to study voice, piano, and performance. Much of her early inspirations came from classical music and theater but it didn’t take long for artists such a Radiohead and Bjork to make their way into her repertoire. She pursued classical voice and philosophy in college where her musical pallet was broadened by her professors and friends. Although she has been singing her whole life, she didn’t consider fronting an original band until she saw Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ perform in 2011. Genevieve moved to Brooklyn a few years after graduating college to pursue singing and composition as a career. Since moving to NYC, she has made a living performing and singing on many projects. While working as a freelance singer, Genevieve has been writing, recording and preparing her debut EP as LadyChild.

Luke Buck is a multi-instrumental singer/songwriter out of New York City. Having been heavily influenced by 90s Alternative Rock bands like Counting Crows, Radiohead, and Weezer, the concept that ‘simple is complex’ permeates throughout his music. His first EP “Dark Matter” was a raw emotional journey of coping with a long-term break-up in today’s age of social media and instant gratification, all the while finding some dark humor in the sadness. Luke’s follow-up EP “All These Things” deals with the aftermath of our emotions, focusing more inward than out. With the help of producer Ben Rice from Degraw Sound this release has aptly been called “a rollercoaster fit of reflection & celebration”.
His latest single, “Winter“, was released as an immediate companion piece to “California” off of his “All These Things” EP – a somber reflection of the hopeful piano-driven tune. “Winter” has been featured on several Spotify-curated playlists, such as Kaffeehausmusik, and has garnered more than 130,000 streams worldwide.
