PORTLAND, OR // August 19, 2015 – Indie pop-punk quartet Icarus the Owl team up with Under The Gun Review to premiere their official music video for their new single “Skysweeper” today, which is off their upcoming album, Pilot Waves due out October 16th. The song is their first new release since signing to Blue Swan Records earlier this summer. Bridging the gap of old to new, the song blends the band’s growing sound and new-found style.

The video is centralized around the Skysweeper’s line, “See me fall in love and watch me feed her to the wolves,” in building a tantalizing storyline. As vocalist Joey Rubenstein explained, “It’s the idea that only the thrill of the chase is appealing and once we have caught up to whatever we are chasing, we tend to throw it away.” Filmed by Nolan Johnson of Quantum Productions, the video came together seamlessly, bringing the band’s vision and story to life.
Pilot Waves stretches Icarus the Owls’ sound to new levels, showcasing their newfound chops and progression of the band’s sound in their fourth full-length album. Pre-orders of the album are available beginning today along with vinyl bundles. Both of which include an immediate download of “Skysweeper” via the band’s Bandcamp.
