NEW YORK, NY | October 4, 2024: New York indie pop artist Emmrose releases “Three Words Eight Letters” on October 4, 2024, following her previous single “Heartbreaker”. Produced by long-time collaborator Mike Abiuso at Behind the Curtains Media, “Three Words Eight Letters” is Emmrose’s sweet and dreamy appreciation of love and affection. Her unique style, characterized by soft vocal delivery and Abiuso’s dream-pop production shapes the new single, which draws inspiration from a pivotal scene in the tv drama Gossip Girl. During an intense and memorable scene with GG fans, the heroine Blair Waldorf tells her love interest Chuck Bass, “The true reason I should stay right where I am and not get in the car. Three words, eight letters. Say it, and I’m yours.”

The three words are of course, “I love you”.

Emmrose adds:

“Songwriting has always been my favorite outlet for getting out all my feelings and expressing them, even before I’ve come to terms with my emotions at the moment. I’m forced to be honest and vulnerable, and really look at myself and examine my insecurities and all the things I push down and hide away.” Emmrose

“I remember writing the piano part and everything coming together so easily. It was the same thing with the production. Mike Abiuso did an amazing job of knowing exactly the vibe I was going for, keeping the dreaminess and sweetness of the lyrics, but also capturing the darkness and insecurities of what I had felt at the time I wrote the song.” – Emmrose

Emmrose has been working with Mike Abiuso since she was a student at NYC’s LaGuardia Performing Arts High School, and “Three Words Eight Letters” is the 25th single to be released in 5 years of working together.
