EIDOLA Release New Full Length DEGENERATERRA

SALT LAKE CITY, UT / May 5, 2015 – Utah’s EIDOLA have released their much anticipated progressive rock masterpiece Degeneraterra today via Blue Swan Records. The meticulously crafted record seamlessly showcases the band’s ability to run circles around your head with intricate performances and time signatures, while simultaneously capturing key elements of popular music and melody which creates quite an addictive, ground breaking trait.
Josh Penton and William Swan (Dance Gavin Dance / Blue Swan Records), who are no strangers to the music and recording industry, have tag teamed the production of Degeneraterra at Pus Cavern Studios in Sacramento, CA. “Will and Josh were heavily involved in the recording process to ensure we were creating the best album we possibly could,” states vocalist Andrew Wells. Polishing off the record is mastering engineer Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance / Issues / Emarosa, Tides Of Man). Together, the team has crafted yet another sonic work of art.
Degeneraterra is not only sophisticated in the nature of production, but lyrically delves deep into the concept of the perennial philosophy. “The writing process for the concept was very complex due to the nature of the perennial philosophy,” noted Wells. “We had A Lot Like Birds come and hang out a bunch, which is always amazing. Mikey and Butter would bring over some fireball and we would play Mario Kart for hours while people were tracking.”

Biography:
Eidola is a five piece experimental post-hardcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Over the last four years, Eidola have managed to release two highly praised full-length concept albums, tour with industry behemoths like Dance Gavin Dance, and partner with Blue Swan Records and Artery Global to bring their passionate, progressive sound to the masses. Their new album Degeneraterra has received critical acclaim for it’s ambitious sonic scope, complex songwriting, and existential lyrics.
