BROOKLYN | AUGUST 23, 2025: Happening at Brooklyn Art Haus for two nights only on August 23 and 24th, the debut of the folk-punk album “TransVolution”, performed by Déa and the Drips with special guests curated and directed by Pauli Pontrelli, and conceptualized by trans musician and composer Déa Thatcher. Thatcher is best known for her current role on Broadway in the Cabaret Revival Prologue, an interactive and immersive music and dance “show before the Cabaret show”.

A joyful night of music and togetherness, the TransVolution show is aimed at providing support and a place to come together for the queer community. Déa will be performing her songs about coming-of-age euphoria and angst, using her full voice while focusing on her inner child and every one of her deeply personal lyrics. She describes her music as ‘poetry about pain mixed with pleasure’, most written as a direct response to the current US Administration’s promotion of anti-trans bias, exclusion of gender identity from federal protections, and end of access to federally funded gender-affirming care.

The Folk-Punk band Déa and the Drips features Déa Thatcher on lead vocals, self-accompanied by her Fender Telecaster gifted to her by Orville Peck, supported by Aspen Cohen on bass and Caro Moore on drums.

The night will also feature a lineup of guest artists: Rheanna Atendido, poet Noah Arhm Choi, ¥anu$ai (8/23), WillBug with James Stryska (8/24), and Flower (8/24).
