WHAT THE PRESS ARE SAYING…

Big House showcases the band in all its frenzied, multidimensional glory, with bursts of furious hardcore aggression, dense instrumental workouts, passages of laid-back cocktail rock and Zappa-esque fusion jams, and plenty of sunny summertime sing-along pop choruses” – Knoxville Mercury

“This band sounds as though they’re ready to blow. They’re energetic, upbeat, and driven by a punk rock fury that could turn a venue upside down in a night.” – Viral Pirate

“Pure maniacal fun…the band has also attained a reputation for their riotous live performances.” – FrostClick

ABOUT THE BAND

Knoxville, Tennessee’s Crumbsnatchers is a deliciously listenable band. A generous and inventive recipe of rock, pop, punk, and new wave influences combine to create sweet, swirling ear-candy out of transcendent hooks and blaring riffs. Crumbsnatchers’ catchy songs echo the wit of Pixies and Talking Heads, with the fervent force of Beastie Boys. Their contagiously immersive music has a habit of crushing your inhibitions into a fine paste and then painting the word “PARTY” on your brain with it.

CrumbSnatchers formed in 2012.  Band members include: front man singer and songwriter Samuel “Guetts” Guetterman, guitarist Philip Mosteller, Jacob Cate on bass, Dexter Webb on keyboards and guitar, and drummer Ethan Musolf.

Guetterman named the band after first hearing the term “crumb snatcher” from a staff member at an ultra conservative reform school he attended. When he asked what it meant, he was informed that “crumb snatchers” were wild and rambunctious children who refused to behave. Guetts says he found something “soothing and endearing” about the term intended to be an insult Describing CrumbSnatchers unique brand of music, “Guetterman explained, their music is best described a type of feeling rather than as a compost of adjectives. He described the feeling in the phrase, “Hurry! you’re super late for quitting your job.”
