NEW YORK, NY | December 12, 2022 – Actress, songwriter, and performer Judy Malka releases the deeply personal and introspective song “Reflection” on December 12, 2022. “Reflection” was written for everybody that is experiencing pain or loss and is looking for a song to help them time to stop, think and reflect. When Judy started writing the song, she partnered with a songwriting collaborator because of the need to get the lyrics in English just right. Originally from Israel, Ms. Malka speaks five languages and prefers to work with a writing partner to assist in finding the lyrics and sentiment. A perfectionist in creating her music, she worked with a producer who also mixed and mastered “Reflection”, Mike Abiuso at Behind the Curtains Media in Brooklyn, NY. Together they created this heartfelt piece about the healing powers of love.

“We all get crushed. Lost in so much darkness, but then we find that there is a place of hope, light, and reflection. I have had to reflect on losing so many people dear to me in my life recently. I needed time in isolation so I could think and really dive into the thoughts that were going on in my head. ABOUT: Singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer Judy Malka began her career as one of the first Israeli kids chosen to perform in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar and has been cast in such high-profile productions as Orange is the New Black, The Punisher, and Gotham. She spent years of study in some of the best acting and singing institutes in NYC and LA including Juilliard, The Actors Studio, Gene Frankel, and Lee Strasberg, and most recently performed in the Metropolitan Opera’s world-renowned production of “La Boheme”.
