MA NI is a really interesting concept that I came up with, built around the idea of Swarakshara. It’s an experiment with Indian musical notes, similar to how Western notes work, but in this case, it’s wordplay with Indian notes. For example, the Indian equivalent of ‘Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do’ is ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni Sa’. ‘MA-NI’ creates the word ‘MONEY,’ and ‘PA-NI’ creates the word ‘PANI’ (meaning Work in Telugu). ‘GA-DA’ forms the word ‘GADA’ (meaning ‘Isn’t It’ in Telugu). This clever use of the notes is what drives the song. The abstract meaning? Stay true to your work, and wealth will follow.
