NEW YORK | AUGUST 9, 2024: The indie-rock songwriter and artist Jennifer Silva is set to release her new single “Rearview Mirror” on all streaming platforms on Friday, August 9th. A distinctive blend of rock, soul, and country-Americana, this track marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Silva who will drop additional singles on September 6th and September 27th, followed by the full album release on September 27th. Her rootsy, soulful sound paired with images of animal spirits, nature, dreams, and trademark mystical folklore takes us on a joyride searching for answers and finding signs everywhere she goes.
Showcasing her memorable lyrics and powerful vocals and supported by her band of talented, touring musicians, and a modern production, Silva will not disappoint fans who love getting lost in stories and metaphors. Inspired by a major life decision and the journey to where she is now, Silva’s “Rearview Mirror” captures the essence of moving forward and embracing change. After 25 years of living in New York City, Silva relocated with her family to the countryside of upstate New York. Uprooting and moving to the woods was very hard and lonely but she stayed focused and finally found her way…following the music and her intuition, as always.
A casual Instagram post about her sentiments revealed an overwhelming response from her followers, many of whom were facing similar life changes. This outpouring of shared experiences inspired Silva to pen “Rearview Mirror” for those who, like herself, recognize the need for change and are determined to switch gears and accelerate into the future.
“‘Rearview Mirror’ is about not looking back,” says Silva. “It’s about driving forward into the future with confidence. Sometimes you need to let go and trust that the road will lead you where you need to be.”

Silva’s music is a unique blend of heartfelt, honest lyrics, inspired by nature and elements of the Occult, paired with soulful arrangements. She is known to use tarot card readings for guidance and remains deeply aware of her natural surroundings and animal spirit connections, which include the snake, the damselfly, the doe, and the buffalo. Silva’s unique ability to tell her stories in a cinematic yet soulful way leads us to explore spirituality, self-realization, and our own intuition.
