BROOKLYN | APRIL 26, 2024: Jeremy & The Harlequins return with their latest 2-song EP, “Blue”, recorded and produced by Mike Abiuso at Behind the Curtains Media, following their successful releases on Yep Roc Records (home to Nick Lowe, Alejandro Escovedo) and Pasadena Records (Doobie Brothers). The lead single, “Blue,” evokes nostalgia reminiscent of Bobby Vinton bobby socks era, with Jeremy Fury’s versatile vocals ranging from full voice to falsetto over a retro-rock ballad tailor-made for a prom night.
The EP’s second track, “Moon Man,” transports listeners on a cosmic journey as a man in outer space makes his way back to his beloved. Drawing inspiration from ELO, Glen Campbell, and post-Beatles John Lennon, the music echoes the golden age of classic pop and rock.
Jeremy & The Harlequins have shared stages while on tour with notable acts like Chuck Prophet, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, and Electric Six. Their music has been lauded on Bruce Springsteen guitarist Stevie Van Zandt’s Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM with multiple “coolest songs in the world.” They’ve also made their mark in the entertainment industry, featuring in movies like Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow and reimagining a classic jingle for Miller High Life beer.
ABOUT: Finding the crossroads between sun-soaked sixties California harmonies and New York garage rock gutter fuzz, Jeremy & The Harlequins kickstart a new phase of American rock ‘n’ roll. Following 2013’s American Dreamer, they quietly emerged as a critical and fan favorite with Into The Night [2016] and Remember This[2018]. Along the way, they earned the endorsement of USA Today, Paste, Interview, Wall Street Journal, Nylon, Consequence of Sound, Atwood Magazine, Relix, and Huffington Post who christened them “true originals.” Meanwhile, they can be heard loud and clear throughout popular culture with syncs in Edge of Tomorrow: Live. Die. Repeat., Seal Team, Shameless, Vampire Diaries, Royal Pain, Heavy, Life Partners, and a Miller High Life national campaign. On SiriusXM, Little Steven’s Underground Garage selected “Starlight” as its “Coolest Song In The World” and “Trip Into The Light” as the “Coolest Song of the Year.” Everything set the stage for their fourth full-length and 2022 Pasadena Records debut, ABRA CaDaBRA, and the current 2024 release, the EP “Blue”.
