With an upbeat tempo and powerful lyrics, Judy’s earnest message about moving on from a relationship is one we can all relate to. Judy’s confident vocal performance combined with Mike Abiuso’s instrumentation and production of the song tells us a story about on moving on to something better.
The artist speaks of her artistic journey:
“I am on a journey with my acting, my songwriting, and performing. It is like a road that I’m on and I’m just following this road and I feel like it is taking me somewhere magnificent. This is my walk on the yellow brick road, and with all of my artistry, it is leading me in the right direction. Of course, there are so many road bumps along the way, and sometimes we start to sabotage ourselves as artists. At the end of the day we do expect something to happen, and I have to believe I am walking down this road for a real purpose with my art.
I never give up on my dream. I just keep writing and recording. I keep acting and performing. I have had to deal with a lot of my own personal problems along the way, but I never left my artistry behind. All of those obstacles are making me stronger and better.
I feel absolutely fearless in my journey with my art, bringing it into the world, and “Let You Go” is a perfect example of how fearless I am at this time. I can walk away, or I can continue down this path.
ABOUT: Singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer Judy Malka began her career as one of the first Israeli kids chosen to perform in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar and has been cast in such high-profile productions as Orange is the New Black, The Punisher, and Gotham. She spent years of study in some of the best acting and singing institutes in NYC and LA including Juilliard, The Actors Studio, Gene Frankel, Lee Strasberg, and most recently performed in the Metropolitan Opera’s world-renowned production of “La Boheme”.
