BROOKLYN, NY – July 22, 2016 – Brooklyn heartthrobs and LGBT activists, Manic Pixi, have teamed up with Noisey to premiere their sophomore album, Iron Heart. Today the ever-catchy follow-up to 2014’s Sugar Bomb! has officially hit the streets and is available though all digital platforms. Manic Pixi’s signature heavy-hitting pop-punk remains alive and well, but it is alongside a palpable maturation from lyrics to dynamic influences within the instrumentation. This album literally has it all. In support, Manic Pixi will be playing their Iron Heart record release show this evening at Arlene’s Grocery alongside LTrain (NYC), Bonsai Trees (South Windsor, CT) and Bodega Satellite (Woodbridge, NJ). Find the facebook event details HERE.
“My favorite aspect about Iron Heart is the fact that the record was a true group effort,” says vocalist/lyricist, Kat Hamilton, “It’s an amalgamation of our collective hivemind. Where most bands would falter trying to do too much, our differences fit together like puzzle pieces. You can hear teamwork on Iron Heart.”
From the catchy and complex opening track, “Newly Ordered World” (premiered via Idobi Radio HERE) to the inspiring anthemic title track, “Iron Heart” to the exceptionally vulnerable parts of “Laughing” and “Adult Self,” listeners will experience every emotion possible over the course of 40-minute aural riot.
Iron Heart is an essential addition to the music libraries of fans of Paramore, Tonight Alive, Four Year Strong, and Motion City Soundtrack. Purchase a copy on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, or at a Manic Pixi show near you!

About Manic Pixi:
Manic Pixi is an East Coast-based Alt-Pop Punk band. Combining the best parts of pop-punk, grunge, indie, and rock with an undeniable pop sensibility, Kat, Emmett, Marshall, and Drew craft tunes that leave you wanting to slam the wall in both defiance and heartbreak.
The band is gearing up for the release of their second full-length Iron Heart. The album will feature a more mature sound with fresher and eclectic takes on pop-punk. Take Paramore, inject them with sweeter pop-punk melodies a la Letters to Cleo, rub them down with No Doubt, drop them in a bowl full of Hole, pan fry on high in Blink-182, season with Four Year Strong and you wind up with alternative pop-punk four-piece, Manic Pixi.
Their new album, Iron Heart, is available for purchase via Bandcamp and iTunes.
