On Tour Now Supporting Closure In Moscow in Europe
PORTLAND, OR // November 7, 2015 – With the recent release of their latest album Pilot Waves, indie pop-punk quartet Icarus The Owl have been turning heads of music lovers everywhere! They placed on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart this past week, as a new entry claiming spot #2 on the West North Central Chart.
The album is their fourth full-length release and first to be released since their signing withBlue Swan Records earlier this year. The album was exclusively streamed on Sputnik Music on it’s release last month.
“Pilot Waves exists as a balance of light and dark, and pulled our sound in opposite directions – we wrote the heaviest and lightest songs we’ve ever written,” said lead singer Joey Rubenstein. “I was going through a tumultuous time while writing the album and I think the music and lyrics are a reflection of that. Some days I would have a very manic headspace and I’d write a really heavy song. Other days, I would feel serene and write something more uplifting.”
Pilot Waves is now available through CD and vinyl bundles, or digital copies on the band’sBandcamp. Icarus The Owl just finished a tour of select U.S. cities and is headed overseas for a UK/Europe with Closure In Moscow. Tour dates are listed below. Music videos for the album’s two singles have also been released, for “I Am The DeLorean” which premiered on on Alternative Press and “Skysweeper” through Under The Gun Review
